Flexy: exterior modular furniture – polyethylene/polypropylene rotation molding

Posted by on Jul 5, 2011 in Furniture Design | 0 comments

Flexy is a two module furniture set for exteriors – beach, hotels, pubilc spaces, special events, etc.

It was presented at Sofia Design Week – in the CHERGA design embassy – in the garden of the Water tower.

The set consist of two modules – one cylinder and an arc. This allows very flexyble (Flexy!) configurations. The same shape is used also for bar construction, but the height is 1100mm and 1300mm. The seating height is 400mm and 600mm for the cylinders. One arc module is big enough to alow four people top seat on it.

And it is glowing in the dark! In white or any colour (or changeable colours).

Priced around 200 euros per module!

The Chameleon chair

Posted by on Jul 5, 2011 in Furniture Design | 0 comments

This is my last creation – i did it by myself at my studio – bending, welding, painting, upholstering – i really enjoyed this!

The chair was present at Sofia Design Week in the CHERGA’s design embassy

The main idea behind this chair was to have one frame and differents seats to change easily the look and the feeling of the chair. I used a seat from an Ikea chair for this prototype, but there are a lot of other options – even of using cloth seat (hammock type) and more. I will continue to work on this project…

CURLY chair for LAGO

Posted by on Apr 16, 2011 in Furniture Design | 5 comments

Curly is a chair that takes advantage of the resistance of fabric for its seat. The frame is reduced, there are neither arms nor a back rest and the weight of the body is supported by its extremely resistant fabric. The canvas version is perfect for outdoor use.

The LASTIKA armchair for LAGO

Posted by on Apr 16, 2011 in Furniture Design | 15 comments

LASTIKA is a simple chair with metal tubular frame and 40 elastic belts.

It is presented now at Milan Design Week and Salone Mobile Milan 2011.

Lastika resembles a flower, in fact a daisy. When you sit in it, you are supported by forty elastics that make up the seat and create a rocking sensation, although the structure of the seat is in fact very stable. It is a fun and comfortable seat, very lightweight and … stackable!

This one of my entries in the CHERGA & ADP – Smolyan contest

Basicly i am using a sheet of 550/805/12 mm plywood which is cut using CNC.

The chair is self locking and it can be rocking chair or not – you can stop it to swing by adding the four small hoof provided. It is possibla also to add a wheels. No glue or screws needed – the chair is a self locking/flat pack product.
